Story Meeting Notes: 8/09/2003: (Toner,Luce)
Act One/Act Three working well.

Confirmed changing Rex to a woman (tentatively named "Regina"), a down on her luck Indiana Jones/Lara Croft explorer-type. Greg and Reggie are siblings. Greg a beat behind but with a clear sense of the obvious.

First half of Act Two is a ghost story (five scenes where the story question is "What is the Golden Ghost?" spooky/puzzle based), climaxing in the discovery that the ghost is a bear (can the audience leave this section without discovering? What is the loss scenario here?

Mid point scene bringing the teams into direct competition, perhaps back at Roderick's store. The teams discover each other's motivations, and the race for the Golden Ghost is on.

Act 2B is the race story (five scenes of trying to find the Golden Bear, teams are each other's obstacles).

Use of animation. Interweave some animated scenes into story. Create a teaser which introduces the characters in animated video game style. Use animation for all easter eggs/surprise interactions. Use animation for final scene on fantasy bridge.

Action Items: Continue preprod as previously scheduled. Revise character breakdown. Refine current act two into new structure, brainstorm scene headings and beat sheets for new act two scenes (think action for R&G, compile sides for auditions.

The Race is ON!!!
